Refining – Upstream
Searching for underground or underwater crude oil and natural gas fields by drilling and operating the wells that recover and bring the crude oil and/or raw natural gas to the surface. Upstream exploration and production can occur onshore or offshore
Applications
ProDetec has access the the worlds best gas detectors for a wide range of industries. Whether the need is for a single application or multiple sites and areas, our durable gas monitoring solutions meet your unique industrial needs. We offer a broad range of gas detectors and controllers to satisfy international certification standards such as SIL (Safety Integrity Level), Marine, IECEx.
Detecting the right flame for the right application is critical when protecting your plant or process from Fire. Different fires require different technologies to accurately detect them, Whether it be UV, UV/IR, Single IR, IR3 or Intelligent Visual Flame technologies, ProDetec can offer expertise in selecting the correct detection method.
ProDetec can offer our customers innovative portable gas detectors that offer greater reliability, improved productivity, and better cost-efficiency to protect your workers from potential gas hazards. These gas detectors can be readily calibrated and tested on site with the aid of Automated Calibration and Bump Testing Stations
As has been documented in many journals and papers, the rim seal around the entire circumference of the floating roof tank presents a major fire hazard. Floating Storage Tanks usually contain highly flammable products which can potentially cause catastrophic fires. When the fire is not detected early it can cause significant loss of plant, down time of production and in severe situations even risk to life. These can have a large financial or environmental impact.
In crude oil production, large amounts of water result in addition to oil and gas. This water contains a certain residual amount of hydrocarbons, which must be separated before the water is discharged into the sea or as waste water. In order to comply with the respective environmental standards and to optimise the extraction process, the residual content of oil has to be monitored on-line.
At ProDetec we can supply specialised gases and gas mixtures to meet various and specific requirements. We work with you to understand your application and analyse your consumption patterns. This way we can offer the correct cylinder size that maximises your efficiency while minimising costs.
An Ultrasonic does not detect specific values of LEL or ppm, rather, it responds to the sound generated by escaping gas at ultrasonic frequencies. Such signals are generated when leakage occurs at sonic velocity; this requires a driving pressure of at least 2 barA. The detected sound is proportional to the leak rate (mass flow rate). In basic terms, the greater the leak rate (large leak), the greater the ultrasound emitted. Ultrasonic gas leak detectors complement traditional gas detection methods used in refineries, gas plants and offshore installations.
Wireless Gas Detection Systems are economically deployable in both permanent and temporary installations. Proprietary “self-healing mesh” technology operates at 2.4 GHZ and conforms to non licensed radio frequency appliance usage around the world. Wireless network integrity and security is accomplished using direct sequence spread spectrum DSSS programming topology. Wireless applications can be as simple as a single field device communicating with a host display or any number of field devices forming a network of subscribers.
Manual alarm call points are designed for the purpose of raising an alarm manually once verification of a fire or emergency condition exists, by operating the push button or break glass the alarm signal can be raised.
Measuring density of a sample is an important quality parameter of both raw materials and finished products. Various techniques enable the density of solid, viscous and liquid materials to be accurately determined e.g. metals, plastics, chemicals, lubricants and food.

This is mainly for thermal power houses, IGCC (Integrated coal Gasification Combined Cycle), etc. Air-fuel ratio control is very strict for some high-grade gas turbines so that gas turbines can be sustainably used with maximum combustion efficiency
