Oil in Water Monitor

ProDetec supplies oil-in-water monitor solutions for continuous, real-time detection of hydrocarbon contamination across process water, wastewater discharge, surface runoff, and produced water streams in Australia.

If the application is environmental discharge compliance at a refinery, upstream oil and gas produced water management, or early fault detection in an industrial process, an oil water monitor provides the continuous visibility needed to identify contamination events before they breach regulatory limits or escalate into environmental incidents.

Without online oil-in-water monitoring, hydrocarbon exceedances in discharge streams may go undetected until laboratory sampling flags a breach, by which time environmental harm has already occurred, and regulatory penalties are at risk. A water-in-oil monitor applied to lubrication and hydraulic systems similarly provides early warning of process faults before equipment damage results.

ProDetec supplies the Sigrist OilGuard 2W, which is a non-contact, free-fall measurement oil in water monitor that eliminates window fouling and measurement drift, factory-calibrated to the 16 EPA-PAH standard and backed by local engineering support across Australia.

Range of Oil in Water Monitor

AquaGuard PR 30

AquaGuard PR 30

The AquaGuard PR 30 measures up to five parameters directly in the water – without the use of expensive pumps and with zero water loss! The portable measuring system consists of an AquaScat S and can be equipped with up to three probes from Hamilton. This allows the AquaGuard PR 30 to be conveniently adapted to the measurement requirements. The SICON M operating device is used for control.

OilGuard 2W

OilGuard 2W

The instrument is used for monitoring oil traces in raw, surface run-off, process and wastewater. As a result of the non-contact (free-fall) measurement, there is no drift in readings as a result of window fouling. Another benefit of this design feature is the extremely low need for maintenance. This instrument is for non-hazardous applications.

No external operator interface is required as the colour touch-pad is integral to the analyser.
