Teledyne Detcon
Teledyne Detcon designs and manufactures a wide range of industrial grade gas detection sensors, control systems, analysers, and wireless technology. Detcon was established in 1983 and began commercial activity with its first products in early 1985. Now under the control of Teledyne Gas and Flame Detection Division.
The ELDS system is designed to keep your personnel safe in high risk environments while still saving you ongoing operation and maintenance costs. It reduces false alarms, does not need routine sensor replacement, and with its Bluetooth connectivity to troubleshoot and pull data, it keeps your personnel off ladders, scaffolds, and platforms.
The MCX-32 is a multi-channel integrated control system with a capacity of 64 active channels. It can receive and supervise inputs from a wide range of field devices with either a 4-20mA DC or serial output. The standard serial protocol is RS-485 Modbus RTU. This unique system design features “auto-configuration” of addressable devices that are in a device library. The Model MCX-32 controller provides a unique combination of “auto configuration” simplicity and ease of use with customizable expansion capabilities.
The Detcon SmartWireless® CXT controller is a multi-channel mobile gas detection control system that may be wall mounted or mounted on a Detcon tripod accessory. The CXT can be utilised for
self-contained gas detection, display/alarm system package or wirelessly connected to the main network. The controller offers a non-intrusive magnetic interface with back-lit LCD display that supports either wireless or a hard wire connection to gas detection sensors. The CXT is equipped with an auto configure system to automatically search for Detcon equipment associated with the controller.
The SmartWireless Site Sentinel CX sensor station is an accessory to any Detcon wireless RXT transceiver or wireless controller and is easily and economically deployable in both permanent and temporary installations. The CX wirelessly transmits the data from up to 4 wired gas detectors back to wireless controller and includes a battery that powers the radio, alarm devices, and the attached sensors. The Sentinel CX is compatible with Detcon’s Model RXT transceivers. Flexible and expandable, a Site Sentinel network can include up to 32 devices and consist of any combination of wireless and/or wired sensors, one or more Site Sentinel control panels, and alarm warning devices.
Options include audio alarm, visual alarm, external alarm port, and up to 4 external wired sensor inputs. Standard features include a power-in port and power switch.
The CXT Range of Wireless gas detection sensors are rated for IEC EX hazardous areas. These advanced field devices consist of a CXT low power gas detection sensor and wireless transceiver packaged in a single enclosure. Power is provided by a disposable “D” cell battery pack with a run time of 9 months and solar panel providing continuous operation.
Detcon SmartWireless® audio-visual alarm stations are easily and economically deployable in both permanent and temporary installations. These devices feature a battery powered audio-visual alarm station designed as a wireless cordless system component.
Detcon SmartWireless® audio-visual alarm stations are easily and economically deployable in permanent and temporary installations. These devices have a battery-powered audi o- visual alarm station designed as a component of a wireless system.
Detcon Model 1000-CO2 and Model 1000-H2S Analysers are designed to provide continuous, accurate, real-time measurement of gas concentrations in a wide variety of process gas streams. The instrument package is rated for Non-Hazardous areas.
The Model X40 controller is completely field programmable using a small handheld magnet and offers advanced technology with intuitive, embedded intelligence. The control system displays real time readings and field device status on a backlit LCD screen. During normal operation, the screen displays the alarm status and current reading (i.e., channel number, gas type, and gas concentration) for up to eight field devices simultaneously. The display is sequential and during normal operation it auto cycles through each of the active channel screens.
Enclosure options include: NEMA 4X, NEMA 1 panel mount, and NEMA 7.
