The instrument is used for monitoring oil traces in raw, surface run-off, process and wastewater. As a result of the non-contact (free-fall) measurement, there is no drift in readings as a result of window fouling. Another benefit of this design feature is the extremely low need for maintenance. This instrument is for non-hazardous applications.

No external operator interface is required as the colour touch-pad is integral to the analyser.

Technical Description – OilGuard 2W

Trace Oil Water Monitor

The instrument is used for monitoring oil traces in raw, surface run-off, process and wastewater. As a result of the non-contact (free-fall) measurement, there is no drift in readings as a result of window fouling. Another benefit of this design feature is the extremely low need for maintenance.

The instrument’s factory setting is precision calibrated with the 16 EPA-PAH standard at the Sigrist factory. At the time of calibration, the calibration value is noted on a instrument specific solid, homogeneous stable Calibration Check Unit.  With this Calibration Checking Unit, the OilGuard 2 W can be recalibrated by the customer to the exact factory calibration.

The maintenance free and drift-free design focus of the oil in water design of the OilGuard 2W, in combination with its high quality optical components minimises the effect of interferences from other contaminants in the sample stream. As a result, the smallest traces of oil, to the largest spills can be precisely detected.

The instrument can be further adapted to your specific oil profile. This customised measuring range can be correlated with your Lab values.
