Technical Description – AquaScat

The AquaScat is the latest generation from Sigrist for the measurement of turbidity at 90^o as per ISO7027. One of the key features of the Aqua Scat is that the water sample passes the optics in a non-contact stream that avoids contamination of the optics. The light passes through the entire stream, not just the surface.

This non-contact feature is of the highest importance when comparing the AquaScat to systems which rely on ultrasonic or wiper methods of cleaning would be seriously challenged. The AquaScat is capable of turbidity readings between 0 and 4,000 NTU with stable 0.001NTU resolution readings for filtered water turbidity to highly turbid waters of up to 4000NTU. You can select of of 8 pre-defined measuring ranges to match the 4-20mA output, or customise your own (see video which explains this simple procedure)
