Our Featured Products

LabScat 2

LabScat 2

The LabScat monitors turbidity in liquids. Depending on your application, we can offer 90°/25° scattered light measurement with the option of Colour at a 430nm wavelength. The combination of Hastelloy and sapphire in a seal-less design allows operating the unit in practically all process applications. Turbidity measurement is done with colour compensation. Window fouling is monitored, compensated and can be checked using an anti-fouling control. Calibration is easy and very accurate with a precision optical calibration check cell, specific to each instrument.

Alcohol Monitor

Alcohol Monitor

Cost-effective instrument for measuring Alcohol in a 2-component mixture

The Centec Alcohol Monitor is used to determine the alcohol content in a mixture of alcohol (ethanol) and another liquid, typically water. Centec uses density (RhoTec) or sound velocity (SonaTec) to meet your objectives. He instruments are virtually maintenance-free operation and allow for inline installation via a varivent fitting.

Brix Monitor

Brix Monitor

Accurate monitoring of inline sugar concentration

The Centec Brix Monitor provides highly accurate monitoring of inline sugar concentration. The °Brix value of sugar syrups, soft drinks and fruit juice is performed by using either density using the RhoTec analyser or sound velocity, using the Centec SonaTec.

When installed inline, the Brix Monitor provides virtually maintenance-free and a built-in operator interface.

OxySteam

OxyTrans TR | In-line Dissolved Oxygen (DO) Meter

In-line Optical Dissolved Oxygen (DO) Meter

OxyTrans TR is an optical inline sensor for the continuous measurement of dissolved oxygen (O₂) in liquids and gases. It is designed for applications that require high sensitivity and high measurement accuracy – with straightforward operation and low-maintenance design.

Unlike conventional electrochemical sensors, the OXYTRANS TR does not require an electrolyte solution. During measurement, no oxygen is consumed.

The O2-concentration can be displayed in different units like ppb, ppm, %oxygen, etc.

CarboTec TR-PT

CarboTec TR-PT

Dissolved Carbon Dioxide Measurement

The Centec CarboTec continuously measures the content of dissolved carbon dioxide in liquids. Designed for applications that require maximum sensitivity and high accuracy. Dissolved CO2 measurements are determined precisely and quickly with several short measurement per minute. The unit offers excellent long-term stability and is designed for hygienic installations with full CIP capability.

CarboTec NIR

CarboTec NIR

Dissolved Carbon Dioxide Measurement

The Centec CARBOTEC NIR continuously measures the content of dissolved carbon dioxide in liquids. Designed for applications that require maximum sensitivity and high accuracy. Dissolved CO2 measurements are determined precisely and quickly with several short measurement per minute. The unit offers excellent long-term stability and is designed for hygienic installations with full CIP capability.

Beer Monitor

Beer Monitor

To determine 3 crucial components of beer production: OG, extract and alcohol

The Centec Beer Monitor is a specific variant of the CombiTec which combines the functionality of both the RhoTec (density measurement) and SonaTec(sound velocity measurement).

Using the density and sound velocity properties of each liquid, the correlation between those 2 properties and concentration are defined by a mathematical polynomial. With decades of experience and our own laboratory facilities, Centec has developed polynomials for a large number of products. Any temperature drifts of the measured signal are automatically compensated for by an internal Pt1000 sensor.

The Beer Monitor is designed for those applications which require maximum sensitivity at the highest accuracy. It is easy to operate and maintenance-free.

SonaTec

SonaTec

SONATEC is a highly precise sound velocity sensor for determination of sound velocities and concentrations (e. g. of acids, caustics, emulsions or solvents). The sensor can be used for instance for phase detection and for monitoring of crystallization processes.

RhoTec

RhoTec

RHOTEC is a highly precise density sensor for determination of densities and concentrations (e. g. of acids, caustics, emulsions or solvents). The sensor can be used for instance for phase detection and for monitoring of crystallization processes.

RhoTec L

RhoTec L

RHOTEC L is a highly precise sensor for determination of densities and concentrations (e. g. of extract, alcohol, sugar, acids, caustics, and solvents) according to the oscillating U-tube principle. The samples are manually injected into the sensor. The instrument is designed for laboratory applications requiring maximum sensitivity and highest accuracy.

CombiTec

CombiTec

COMBITEC is used for 3-component solutions to measure simultaneously density, sound velocity and concentration e. g. in a mixture of acid and salt in water or in systems such as sulfuric acid/oleum or methanol/formaldehyde.

Plato Monitor

Plato Monitor

PLATO MONITOR is a variant of SONATEC and allows measuring original gravity of beer in the brewing process.

Frequently Asked
Questions

Which turbidity analyser is recommended for brewery filtration control?

The Sigrist TurBiScat PM 40 is the benchmark instrument for inline brewery filtration monitoring — used by major breweries worldwide from brew house through to packaging. For laboratories and finished product inspection, the LabScat 2 measures in sealed bottles without opening the sample. Our applications team can recommend the right model for each measurement point in your process.

What dissolved oxygen range do I need for packaging line monitoring?

Packaged beer typically targets total packaged oxygen (TPO) below 50–100 ppb. The Centec OxyTrans TR measures from 1 ppb through to % oxygen, providing the resolution needed for ppb-level monitoring at the filler while also covering wort aeration (which operates at much higher DO concentrations). Contact our team to discuss the right range for each application point.

Can the OxyTrans TR withstand CIP cleaning?

Yes. The OxyTrans TR is designed for in-place cleaning and is CIP compatible with standard brewery cleaning agents. Its optical measurement principle means there are no membranes or electrolytes to be damaged by cleaning cycles.

Can ProDetec instruments integrate with our brewery management system?

Yes. Centec and Sigrist instruments support standard 4–20 mA analogue outputs and digital protocols including Modbus, Profibus DP, and Profinet IO. Our applications engineers can assist with integration into your existing BMS, SCADA, or process historian.
